Project Location: Londonderry, NH
Case Study
A serious wine enthusiast, located in Londonderry, NH wanted to transform a portion of his basement to a genuine wine cellar. In addition, he wanted create an environment where family and friends could enjoy the experience of “wine tasting”.
We designed and built a combination wine cellar with an adjacent tasting room. The cellar houses just over four hundred bottles in a space that uses only one hundred square feet while the tasting room is approximately one hundred and forty-four square feet. Using a combination of real stone, mahogany wood, and porcelain tiles we were able to create a space that not only met, but exceeded, the customer’s vision.
By installing a wine chiller, the atmosphere within the cellar is controlled to the desired temperature of 55 degrees Fahrenheit. To add interest, the racks were designed to both house and display the wine in different ways. A viewing window and a glass panel entry door were incorporated to allow people to see the inside of the cellar without having to enter the actual cellar. The tasting room includes a seating area along with a serving area.
